I have had the privilege of being in the dental profession since 1985. While dentistry has evolved tremendously over my career, the one constant is that dentistry is about people. All of the great technology we utilize and the myriad of material choices available are secondary to developing our relationship with those we serve. You will find that evident from the first time you contact our office and through the years.
Whether you are new to the area or have a specific need you want to discuss, we will take the time to find out what YOUR expectations are. Changing your smile, considering implants to replace missing teeth, overcoming your fear of dentistry, tired of your old metal fillings, embarrassed about your current dental health due to years of neglect are just a few of the reasons people initially contact us.
I grew up in the Blossom Valley area of San Jose where I attended grammar school through high school. My undergraduate studies were at the University of California, Davis where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in animal physiology before leaving for Georgetown University School of Dentistry for my doctorate. Among the thousands of hours of advanced courses I have taken are studies in aesthetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, implant dentistry, and pinhole technique™.
I am past president of the Northern California Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Santa Clara County Dental Society. To provide the best dentistry has to offer, I believe it is essential to stay educated and current with the latest advances in research and technology.
In my free time I enjoy running and doing triathlons, pickleball, fly fishing, and cycling. Besides keeping me in good physical health, I find these activities to be a great way to focus and keep me motivated.
